Your heart knows the way- run in that direction. - Rumi

Immerse yourself in a week of heart nourishment in the sacred energies and stunning landscape of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala! Amidst the daily hustle, it’s all too easy to feel a little disconnected from our hearts — and the incredible wisdom within. With daily yoga and movement classes, heart-awakening workshops, a group excursion to visit local Mayan artisans, a Mayan fire ceremony, Cacao ceremony, and Temezcal, we will dive deep into the Heart Medicine that we each carry within. Emerge feeling inspired, invigorated, awakened and deeply connected to the home that is your heart.

Accommodation & Rates

Isla Verde was built on the shores of Lake Atitlan in close alignment with local Mayan building practices. Rooms are cozy, colorful, and simple — rustic and charming, rooms have either a jungle, garden, or lake view; they are decorated with murals, local art and textiles.

Isla Verde is located on the shores of Lake Atitlan, close to the village of Santa Cruz – the Mayan land of hummingbirds and water. This quiet, serene village is surrounded by hills on Lake Atitlan with great views of the volcanoes on the other side of the lake.

Local lanchas (boat taxis) stop about every 20 minutes to take you to explore other towns around Lake Atitlan.

The property offers three types of accommodation: private rooms with en-suite bathrooms, private rooms with shared bathrooms, and dormitory rooms with shared bathrooms. All bathrooms have hot showers with either gas or solar heated water and western toilets (eco treatment). Water is sourced from a spring supplied by the municipality as well as river water that runs through the property.
